Description: Tughlaqabad fort is a monument that was built in the Tughlaq Dynasty in 1321, and is spread over a vast expanse. Originally built to keep the Mongols away, this was an idea by Ghiyas-ud-din Tughlaq and is mostly in ruins in the present time. According to history, the Tughlaqabad fort was abandoned in 1327.

The main attraction of the Tughlaqbad fort is the 'Mausoleum of Ghiyath al-Din Tughluq', which is made up of a single-domed square tomb about 8 meters by 8 meters with sloping walls and is crowned by a parapet. Smooth red sandstone makes up the walls of the mausoleum. In addition to this, it is also laid with inscribed panels and arch borders from marble.
The Tughlaqabad fort is open on all days of the week and its timings are 5:30 AM - 7:00 PM. The entry fees for Indian nationals is INR 5 while the entry fees for foreign nationals is INR 100.
